Every designer, needs a brand.

Simplicity is key.

You can’t be a design professional and not have your own brand. However, i’ve always found designing a logo for myself to be one of the most difficult things. It’s a never ending circle of being hyper-critical that makes choosing a design that you like, next to impossible. Although, that’s just one of the challenges I love as a designer.

I wanted something based on a monogram style that incorporated my initials while also having a sense of depth. After a few iterations I settled on the design you see here, coupled with a clean font (Unbuntu) to finish things off.

I used two point perspective to create depth.

Being a pencil artist I believe that there is no supplement for free hand drawing. And so that is how I always begin my branding projects. Sketching down every design that comes to mind and using that as a foundation to build on.

Your turn.

Every business needs a brand. It makes things real and gives you a presence. Whether it’s a new venture or a rebrand, I can help get things started.
