People Group

Branding, print and digital design

I have worked closely with People Group, a payroll services company, for a number of years. Helping the business through a major rebrand in late 2018. Building an identity from the ground up in a sector that’s swamped with corporate blues and repetitive designs. The brief was simple. Make it recognisable, appropriate for print & digital applications and most important of all, make it different.

Developing the brand over the last few years has been an exciting project and one which I have become very proud of. From the initial logo sketches to a fully fledged identity, I’ve learned so much along the way.

Make it different

Plenty of consideration was given to how the brand would need to suit a variety of applications. The logo was created with an icon in mind and the fonts were chosen with a focus on simplicity. Due to the nature of the business, the messaging and information conveyed was both important and at times, complex. As a result of this, I carefully considered the customer journey and ensured the user experience was slick at every stage.

The print design was a highlight for me. I had freedom to display the brand exactly as intended.

Striking imagery mixed with subtle branding and bold messages allowed the business material to be instantly recognisable. Particularly in competitive environments such as trade exhibitions and product pitches.
