Digital portraits of recruitment leaders
I was commissioned to illustrate a 256 page book that focus on interviews with some of the recruitment industries most influential people. I was tasked with creating a distinctive style that was versatile and professional. I settled on black and white portraits with the contours built from many grey tones. One of the challenges I faced was trying to balance the detail and realism with the amount of time available (As you can see below, there were plenty of them!).
Despite being short on time, I spent a good portion of it trying to capture the character in the individuals eyes.
Each one different.
The variation across the portraits made them interesting. Features such as patterned shirts or jewellery allowed for more detail and made each one very different. By the final few illustrations I was completing one every 2/3 hours.
